Parent Coaching

Parent coaching gives caregivers clear, practical strategies they can use in daily routines. I use ABA with naturalistic approaches focused on communication, flexibility, emotional regulation, and daily living skills. Coaching helps parents understand why behaviors occur and how to respond in ways that build skills and reduce conflict.

Sessions include reviewing routines, modeling strategies, practicing with feedback, and developing reinforcement systems that match your home environment. Concepts such as shaping, differential reinforcement, and environmental arrangement are explained in parent-friendly terms so you can use them confidently.

Coaching is provided remotely through Google Meet. Services are private pay and structured as short-term or ongoing support, with weekly, biweekly, or monthly sessions depending on your goals. Parent coaching rates typically range from $125–$150 per hour, depending on the coaching plan and meeting frequency. Families who want flexible or one-time sessions rather than a multi-month program may be billed at behavior consulting rates.

Parent coaching may be a good fit if you want practical guidance for communication, transitions, emotional regulation, or challenging behavior. This service also supports families who are not eligible for ABA services, do not have a diagnosis that allows access to medical services, or are on an ABA waitlist and want support now. Each plan is individualized and centered on assent-based care, your priorities, and your child’s strengths. I rely on streamlined, life-friendly systems that help you see progress without requiring complex charts or constant recording.

Every service begins with a meet-up appointment to confirm that coaching is a good fit. Set up an initial consult on the schedule page to get started.

  • Many families look for support when bedtime, nighttime waking, or early-morning routines feel unpredictable or stressful. Coaching helps establish consistent routines, introduce gradual behavior shaping, and create conditions that promote more restful sleep.

  • Parents often seek guidance when behaviors such as tantrums, refusals, aggression, or inflexibility interfere with daily activities. Coaching focuses on identifying the function of behavior and teaching replacement skills that are easier, safer, and more effective for the child to use.

  • Some families want support when their child has limited verbal language, inconsistent communication, or difficulty expressing needs without frustration. Coaching teaches caregivers how to model and reinforce functional communication using naturalistic ABA strategies, shaping clearer and more consistent communication attempts.

  • Parents may need help when their child struggles with daily living skills such as dressing, toileting, chores, or transitions. Coaching provides structured steps, prompting systems, and reinforcement strategies that increase independence and reduce the need for constant adult support.

  • Parents often want support in creating playful moments that feel connected, enjoyable, and easy to share with their child. Naturalistic teaching builds learning into these joyful interactions, using everyday play to strengthen communication, flexibility, and social connection between you and your child.
