Frequently Asked Questions
BCBA and BCaBA Fieldwork Supervision
What does BCBA fieldwork supervision include?
Supervision includes structured competency development, case conceptualization, functional assessment training, and ethical problem-solving. Supervisees receive regular feedback, opportunities for applied practice, and support in meeting BACB fieldwork requirements. I use the BACB’s current Test Content Outline to provide structure for your supervision, but each supervision is individualized.
Do you supervise remote trainees?
Yes. Remote supervision is available for some and follows BACB and state supervision guidelines. Trainees must be able to participate in live or recorded observations and submit some practice activities between meetings. Services are offered on a limited basis and subject to eligibility, fit, and applicable regulations.
Do you provide supervision for teachers or professionals in non-clinical settings?
Yes. My supervision practice is specifically designed for supervisees with backgrounds in education or related fields who want to remain in their current career while completing fieldwork requirements.
How do you support unrestricted fieldwork hours?
The BACB requires that the majority of fieldwork hours be unrestricted. For supervisees working in education or related professional roles, many daily responsibilities already align with unrestricted activities, such as planning, data review, collaboration, and problem-solving at the systems level.
Supervision focuses on helping you identify which activities meet unrestricted criteria, document them appropriately, and demonstrate BCBA-level oversight through supervision meetings, observation, and feedback. While eligibility of hours ultimately depends on BACB requirements and documentation, supervision is structured to support ethical accrual of unrestricted hours within your existing role.
How many hours can I get per month?
A minimum of 1.5 hours and a maximum of 4.5 hours are available each month. These include the minimum monthly observation hours required by the BACB for fieldwork supervision.
Do you have a contract?
No. You can start, pause or stop supervision anytime. Restarting is an option if I have availability.
How much does it cost?
Supervision is billed at $75 per hour, which is consistent with industry-standard rates for remote fieldwork supervision.
